Children’s Home of York
Children’s Home of York Celebrates Empowering Families & Enriching Communities for 150 years!
The Children’s Home was founded in 1865 by area civic leaders and volunteers to care for children of soldiers who died in the Civil War. For 150 years the Children’s Home has been evolving to care for children and families in need. Today, we are a multi-faceted social service organization that serves our most vulnerable children, youth. and families throughout Pennsylvania.
As we celebrate our 150th anniversary the timing seemed perfect to give our logo a facelift! The new logo incorporates blue and green – colors of healing and uses a graphic of hands in the shape of a heart. This heart illustrates the commitment and expertise of their staff, as well as, the dedication of foster families and community.
A new tagline also is being introduced “Empowering Families. Enriching communities.” It conveys our ongoing growth in providing services and meeting the changing needs of children, families, and their communities.
